According to Roman tradition, Minerva came from the head of Jupiter. She shared a temple of the Capitoline Hill in Rome with Jupiter and Juno. She was the Roman goddess of wisdom, commerce, invention and the arts. Minerva is often depicted with an owl which was her sacred creature and now through this connection, an owl is a symbol of wisdom. Minerva was commonly identified with the Greek goddess Athena.

Minerva continues to holds strong recognition today.  An Internet search on Minerva brings up countless results. Companies recognize and value what she stood for and have named their products and services after her.

We chose to name its donor management system after the Roman goddess Minerva because she represented the same core values that we do. We are the inventors of our products which are exclusive for charities.
